Ventons Tropical Blooms is a family partnership which commenced 9 years ago. Our love for growing tropical plants forced us to move from a suburban allotment to our beautiful farm, which has an abundance of wildlife and is bordered by a permanent majestic creek. Our farm is not only our business, but our little piece of paradise.
We began our business by growing Tropical flowers such as Heliconias and Gingers in 2008. We have an extensive range of varieties which we supply to the local market as well as the southern commercial Flower Market. Flower arrangements or bunches can be delivered within the local area.
In 2014 we decided to diversify our business by growing tropical fruit, and at this stage we are growing bananas and pawpaws. Our aim is to sell these to the local market. In 2016 we expanded by planting another 300 banana plants which will give us a weekly supply to meet the local demand.
When we purchased the property it already had 20 mango trees which consist of 5 different unusual varieties. Also there are approximately 60 lychee trees, black sapote, star apples, macadamia nut, pecan nut, pomelo and several rare tropical fruit trees.
Our customer base is diverse and constantly growing. By supplying our customers with fresh quality produce and flowers we have developed a relationship with many of our returning clients. We believe that people will always come back if given good service and a quality product.
Regular updates are posted on our Facebook page and some of our customers communicate through this medium.
The Greater Whitsunday Farmers’ Market is a great way to have face to face interaction with our customers and to chat with them about fresh locally grown produce.
We aim to supply fresh quality flowers and fruit with only first grade leaving the farm gate. We are passionate about our farm and we love what we do.
The Greater Whitsunday Farmers’ Market is an excellent way to be involved supplying local produce to the local community.
